I don't know about you but it's been a heck of a month for me. Fortunately, most of the drama was not too close to home.
I am in awe of those bloggers who work full time and are able to keep their blogs up to date. Clearly, I was not able to duplicate that success this past year. I do enjoy sharing my tablescapes with you and will continue to do so in 2015, it just won't be as often as I might like. I'll have a few photos of my Christmas decor for you but I was sidelined with an injury early in December and wasn't able to finish.
Not all the baking got done, not all the shopping got done and in some cases I had to punt. My friends didn't get homemade soup-mix in a jar but they got soup-mix. My family got some of the candy I planned and a some cookies but the neighbors didn't get any Secret Santa goodies on their doorsteps.
While I was wrapping a hostess gift, two of the snowman mugs broke - again had to improvise. Fortunately, I found a super cute replacement gift at a nearby store.
In the end, everything works out the way it's supposed to, sometimes you have to sit on the sidelines with an icepack even though the gifts aren't mailed yet and aren't going to make it in time for Christmas morning.
Enough of all that, it's the past. Time to leave the old year behind us and move forward into 2015- boldly, confidently, joyously, with our eyes and our hearts wide open to whatever is waiting for us.
All the best for the New Year!
