and the blue & white entry

Happy Spring

To celebrate spring we were blessed with a beautiful, sunshiny weekend... immediately followed by a big rainstorm with very strong wind gusts.  Oh well, that's what spring is about, unpredictability.

After my St. Paddy's day table I decided to try my hand at a blue & white table...

It was another fun table to put together though I realize now that I never quite figured out the napkin.

Shall we call the lovely couple Darcy & Elizabeth... or Fred & Ginger? *wink*

I just love daffodils and while I don't have much of a garden anymore, I did manage to grow this white one in a container on the deck. I miss my pink and white daffodils.

A couple of closeups of the place setting

Dreaming spring dreams and looking forward to planting a few flowers and sprucing up the outdoor space.

I'll be linking up The Tablescaper, Between Naps on the Porch and Cuisine Kathleen.

blue compote - Villeroy & Boch
floral soup bowl - Gien Toscana
base plate - Mikasa French Countryside
dark blue tumblers - Target (last year)
blue goblets - GW
statues - GW
pitcher - Ralph Lauren, TJ Maxx
blue flatware - Amazon (last year)

I made english muffins from scratch the other day and they turned out pretty well.  Visually they're perfect but I probably should have let them rise a bit more before cooking.

St. Paddy's Day Table

When I started thinking about trying to put a table together for St. Patrick's day, I really didn't think I had enough of anything to make it work.

But after I got started everything just came together.

A pot of gold in a cabbage bowl - is that redundant? *wink*

The aerial view because the Leprechaun view wasn't all that interesting.

I found these beauties in the clearance shelves at Home Goods.

and the artistic shot with one of the fun settings on my camera

A treasured piece of Belleek is an absolute must on this table.

We've had a few spring like days recently and they have certainly lightened my mood.  I hope spring is arriving soon in a flower bed near you!

I'm linking up with Cuisine Kathleen for the green blog crawl.

Valentine Tea Time

Sooooo.... I've had the pictures for a while but I'm just now getting around to posting them.

Just a few red odds and ends for a pretty little tea setting.

Some oatmeal scones to nibble on...

This is my attempt at an artistic stack like I've seen in other blogs.

This was a Christmas gift a few years ago and it was filled with yummy peppermint fudge!

These are the tea cups from Butler's Pantry - I sold all the plates and bowls but I kept these beauties.

Okay so not such a great shot of the garland but you get to appreciate the tea pot up close.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I'll be linking up with Seasonal Sundays on The Tablescaper, Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch and maybe Let's Dish at Cuisine Kathleen.
